7 year old female Yorkie in Overland Park, KS

I got my yorkie when I was living abroad in London and she was the best companion, she followed me wherever I went without a leash or often rode the subway in my purse. She's laid back and just happy if she's with you. I moved back to the States and got another dog (standard poodle) then a few years later I had a daughter. She's been such a good little sport and gone through four moves, a new puppy and a new baby. We are now facing another move back into a city and I'm worried she won't be happy. I think she would be much better suited in a child-free only dog home. She would love to be someone's lap dog 24/7, maybe for someone elderly that wants a lovely companion. I'm very upset to be giving up my baby but I think it would be for a better quality of life for her as she gets older. She is potty trained, doesn't chew, barks occasionally but not yappy like is typical for her breed. She used potty pads when I lived in London and New York so she knows how to use them but has her own little yard now and is used to that. A fenced in yard would be ideal but she does usually stay close to me and goes out without a lead, I would just be worried in the transition period when she's getting used to a new home. I have a small kennel, but haven't used it for years she sleeps in my bed, two small beds she loves and a bowl that would go with her.She is current on her shots and heart worm medicine.
